Production Roles Held

 

Compositing Sequence Lead

I managed teams ranging from four to eight compositors on a weekly episodic show. In addition to compositing shots, responsibilities included: assigning shots, QC’ing sequences (comprising from a few to up to 200 shots each), performance managed team members, participated in daily production meetings, attended dailies and was responsible for tracking and managing shots in my sequences through every stage of the pipeline.

2D Lead

I ran the compositing department for a project. Responsibilities included creating show templates, managing a compositing team, training new hires, performance managing team members, sitting in on interviews with recruiting, and assisting the compositing team whenever and however needed to meet production needs and show targets.

Digital Compositor

Integrated CG and practical elements into live action plates for both 2D and stereo pipelines using render passes provided from lighting and dynamics departments or elements from element libraries. Specific skills used include: keying FG and BG plates, colour correcting elements to match principle photography, tracking, stabilizing and projecting elements into shots, matching editorial reference and creating unique comp effects and elements to integrate into plates.

Junior Compositor

Composited shots, Integrated CG elements into live action plates, match moved elements, stabilized plates, prepped elements and plates for senior compositors and completed all other assigned tasks.

BG Prep Artist

Worked within the show’s prep guidelines: dust busted plates, delivered roto mattes and splines, performed rig and wire removal, helped develop stereoscopic pipeline.

Visual Effects Artist/Compositor

Worked within a native stereoscopic stop motion pipeline to meet 2D production needs. Removed stop motion rigs and wires and seams from practical plates, created and comped in digital steam and practical flame elements, performed soft splits, matched editorial reference for post moves, created stereo mattes, and completed all other assign tasks.
